I’m in the hair industry today because of my mother. She was studying to become a licensed cosmetologist and she would come home with mannequins. I would watch her cut and dye their hair and when she’s done, they'd just look so beautiful around the house.
I fell in love with the mannequins so I started to play around with them. That was my very first love when it comes to hair.
My childhood dream dimmed when one of my classmates told me that hair dressers don’t make enough money. Of course, I wanted to make money and live the life that I want so my childhood dream got buried. As I grew up, I realized I was good at math so I decided to become an accountant. When I was already working, I remember I questioned myself…
“Is this it? Is this what I’m supposed to do for the next 30 years? Go to work, come home and save up for my retirement? Is this life?!”
That was probably God’s way of questioning my purpose...
Why am I here? What am I here for?
Coincidentally during that time I noticed a thin spot in my head but it wasn’t really alarming so I didn’t pay attention to it until the thinning of my hair grew noticeably larger.
As time went on, I started to find remedies. I visited the dermatologist. I tried creams, shampoo and other products that don't really work. I used over-the-counter products and started to get injections. I was getting injections in my arm and then eventually went to my scalp.
I remember just leaving the doctor’s office crying. It was heartbreaking because my hair was my crown.

But it’s never going to be the same anymore so I felt as though something of my beauty was gone. I was losing my hair that made me feel confident and beautiful.
A part of me also knew that negative energy and sadness should stop. I didn’t want to feel like that everyday so I tried to figure things out and that’s how I started to learn about hair wigs and customized units.
